The city exudes the Christmas spirit with its stunning storefront displays and beautiful romantic Christmas lights. One visitor describes it as “one of the cutest, festive places I’ve ever been.” Enjoy horse and carriage rides through the city or take a boat trip on the Bruges canals to see sights that can only be viewed from the water.

Bruges is a walkable city, making it easy to explore on foot. Utilise the park-and-ride facilities to avoid the hassle of city driving and expensive parking. Lille Christmas Market, France

At Christmas, Lille transforms into a winter wonderland. The Lille Christmas Market is set in the charming Place Rihour, with the city’s beautiful architecture providing an elegant setting for the festivities. The market features local businesses offering unique and individual items. While it may be smaller than some other Christmas markets, It is famous for its culinary offerings, with specialities such as gingerbread, roasted chestnuts, and foie gras. Alsatian wine and other festive drinks are also famous. Lille is a cheese lover’s paradise. If you enjoy crepes as much as we do, you’re in for a treat.
The Christmas lights are spectacular, and the Grande Roue, a large Ferris wheel in the Place du Général de Gaulle, offers stunning city views and Christmas lights.
