European Car Safety Kit – Buy now from Amazon from just £20
Driving in Europe – What to take
Unlike the UK, it’s a legal requirement in many European countries to carry a number of items of safety equipment in your car with you. There can be very hefty (sometimes on the spot) fines if you’re stopped by the Police abroad and you don’t have these items in your car.
It’s advisable to have the following in or on your car whenever you’re driving in Europe:
- Headlamp converters/deflectors – fitted to your headlights as soon as you start driving on the right
- GB plates or number plate country identifier
- Spare bulb kit
- Red warning triangle
- High visibility jackets for the driver and all passengers
- Personal breathalyser
- First aid kit
A complete kit can be easily purchased from Amazon for around just £20.
